Pedestrian walkway between the alley and Delta Ave. Left side when facing Delta Ave.

Erre is from Colombia and is known for her subtle - and occasionally not so subtle - comments on social issues ranging from women's rights to migration, the environment and war and peace. In this case a strong looking young woman with a guitar comments on the still too often secondary role that women are relegated to in the music world, in spite of there being many strong, talented female musicians. Erre is known for her bright colors and images that pop which she creates with stencils and rollers and brushes for the backgrounds.

The dog is her own dog, named El Chopo. He has become world famous as she has painted this image and others of him all over Latin America, other parts of the U.S. and in Europe. You can follow El Chopo on Instagram. ( https://www.instagram.com/yosoyelchopo/?hl=en )  The punk rabbit and wolf are also regular characters of hers. They show up in a variety of ways. This is the artist’s commentary, in a light-hearted way, on the issue of immigration. That has also caused some controversy in Clarksdale from people who don’t agree with the politics.
